New Youth Club Offers Social Lifeline for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs

 Grange Academy, in partnership with Conscious Fitness, is launching All Stars Youth Club – a unique and inclusive space where children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) can be themselves. 

Launching on Tuesday, 3rd June, All Stars Youth Club is designed to support young people aged 7 to 16 with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, anxiety, low self-esteem, and more. The club will run every Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30pm at Grange Academy. 

Developed by Grange Academy and Laura Charnock, an experienced educator and parent of a child with Asperger’s, the club offers a safe, welcoming, and interactive environment. It provides an opportunity for young people to connect, build friendships, and enjoy themselves in a space where academic pressure is left at the door. 

“Having taught and supported children with a variety of challenges for many years — and as a parent to a child with SEN — I understand how critical it is to provide young people with opportunities to build confidence, make friends, and just ‘be’,” said Laura Charnock. “Self-motivation and self-belief are as important as any grade. This club is about celebrating who they are.”

All Stars Youth Club is a wonderful opportunity for young people to grow socially and emotionally in a fun, supportive environment.” 

Each session encourages social interaction, builds communication skills, and helps foster friendships in a relaxed setting. Spaces are limited, and booking in advance is essential.
